I believe ESPN is a good streaming option there, no? I remember looking to see if it made sense to try to use a VPN for that instead of Sportsnet last year but couldn't get it to work.

Just a little over a year ago Detroit had to throw in a 2nd rounder to dump him on San Jose. What a turnaround (well, that trade was pretty much universally slammed even at the time).

I think the primary season is that he's not very good. Which is a shame, I liked him as a prospect and he had a decent first couple seasons with LA.

This indicates that someone, maybe Laughton, is going on LTIR tomorrow. Then we'll likely see Quillan go back down and someone (Cowan? Thrun?) come back up

For some reason I thought that he had some centre experience, but after double checking that doesn't seem to be the case. If he's not just replacing Laughton for a bit then yeah it's an odd one. Maybe bounces Jarnkrok out of the line-up I guess?

I would have preferred DiPietro over Primeau, but I Primeau does have more NHL experience so I guess that played a big role. Blais has been a guy I've wondered if the Leafs would have interest in ever since Berube arrived, so that one's not a big surprise.
