Well Leafs have now quietly won 4 of their past 5 games despite a number of key injuries/absences. No doubt basically everyone has another level to reach but good to see some points still being collected.

I question how truly "fine" he's doing but this still sounds a heck of a lot better than what it originally looked like.

Looks like McMann taking a seat while Nylander gets back into the line-up. Got off to a decent start but 0 points in his last 8 games, with some of those coming on the top line too. Seems due for a sit.

Yeah I slept like 3 hours last night so I simply just don't have the brain power to write this one up either right now. Games at 6. Willy's a GTD probably.

I doubt the LTIR restriction would even impact his return. I would guess he needs at least a week long mini-camp. The Marlies play at home on Wednesday, so maybe he gets that as a conditioning stint game and backs up on Saturday.

Well odd timing consisting the LTIR placement earlier today, but again that was only done because the Leafs needed the additional cap space with so many injuries piling up. He'll be required to miss 10 games still so that would put his earliest possible return game against Columbus next week...

I'd probably try to have McCabe, Carlo, and OEL all on separate pairs here. So like: Benoit-McCabe Mermis-Carlo OEL-Myers With all due respect to someone like Tage Thompson, at least we aren't going up against any super elite talents that need more dedicated line matching.
