  1. Guilt Trip

    2025-26 Marlies Thread

Pretty brutal for sure. 2 clear hit from behinds and only 2 mins? No 5 and review was weird and the call on Shaw for interference? Didn't know taking a dbl fist to the back of the head was interference. Oh well, clear defensive breakdowns cost them huge. On to game 4.
  2. Guilt Trip

SCF: Vegas Golden Knights vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Marner didn't ask the question or bring it up. The media asked again. If he brought it up himself you'd have a point.

    2025-26 Marlies Thread

Great game so far. Ahktyamov, minus the 2nd goal stinker has been outstanding. Sim surprised me a little with his speed and playmaking ability. I can see him on the 4th line with the Leafs creating havoc one day.

    Claude Lemieux dead at 60

Sad news indeed. Fierce competitor that always ramped it up in the playoffs and sometimes went over the edge. 9th all-time in playoff goals, tied for 3rd in playoff GWG.
  5. Guilt Trip

ECF: Montreal Canadiens vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Because it's the norm, they're used to it. Let's be real, they won the first game because the Canes were off for the summer by time the series started.

    2025-26 Marlies Thread

I know I'm on the Tverberg wagon more then probably anyone, but this guy was the best player on the ice last night. The Leafs need to re-sign him and give him a shot on the 4th line/B6. He does everything well, except fight. Plays C, wing, doesn't matter. Good PKer, doesn't shy away from the...
  7. Guilt Trip

ECF: Montreal Canadiens vs. Carolina Hurricanes

I was thinking the same watching. Canes were making all kinds of mistakes. The Habs are now 4-0 vs the Canes this season.

    NHL Draft 2026

Yup. Leafs will be focusing more on picks 2-7. 1 is a done deal.

Wouldnt be fun if all shared the same view

WCF: Vegas Golden Knights vs. Colorado Avalanche

Don't see anyone beating the Avs but who knows. Only good thing if Vegas wins is the Marner hate will be so entertaining lol.
  12. Guilt Trip

ECF: Montreal Canadiens vs. Carolina Hurricanes

Canes may be a lil rusty with all that time off. Depends again on Freddie.

Sullivan and Lalonde did their jobs.

So what does Nylander saying he doesn't want to stick around if they're rebuilding mean? And show me where Matthews said anything about not wanting to come back. He hasn't.
  15. Guilt Trip

R2: Anaheim Ducks (3P) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (1P)

Yup they all should share the blame. Depth was a huge problem for the Leafs in the post season. Every team needs depth scoring to have success. You can't have the B6 pitching zeros.

I can see McD going south. Clock is ticking in Edm, like T.O.

R2: Montreal Canadiens (3A) vs. Buffalo Sabres (1A)

That penalty for the trip on Caufield was weak. Pretty good game tho.
  19. Guilt Trip

Leafs Front Office 2026-27 | Speculation, Discussion

I don't see him as threatening anything. At season's end he said he couldn't predict the future on what direction the team was heading. And how could he? What if the new GM wants to trade him? He didn't know that either. We still don't know what direction the team is moving in. Are they going to...
  20. Guilt Trip

    Armchair GM Thread 2025/26

I'm keeping Knies over Nylander. Knies will be 24 to start the year, Nylander is 30. $4M less, hits, fights, plays better D. 88 is 1 dimensional and having said that, I think he gets the better return. Having a power forward on both top lines would be a good thing.
