    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

Sadly true... the bank's not giving you that mortgage with just a one-year contract.

2026-27 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion | Official: Sundin & Chayka to lead front office

Ewwwwwwwwww.... Alfie? Does he remember the early 2000's when we buried him 4 times?

Rogers is buying out the remaining shares of MLSE. 25% for $4.35B, increasing MLSE valuation to $17.4B!

    2026 Blue Jays

Woof, how are they this bad? Outside of Clement and Varland, they stink.

    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

I hope ANA doesn't match. I hope the $18M PHI pays is considered a premium paid to get an exceptional RFA, and that $18M doesn't become the new standard for someone of Karlsson's caliber. As a Leaf fan, I want the cap to exceed most teams' internal limits.

What a colossal fuck up by ANA. Ownership should be pissed.

    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

The dollar thresholds, as a percentage of the cap, should adjust since the cap has increased significantly. EDIT: the thresholds are adjusted each year as the cap changes... never mind!

    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

I am saying the opposite. $5M today is not what it was 5 years ago in the NHL.

    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

Crazy, this really changes everything. How much is Matthews going to want? +$20M? He better score 70!

    2026-27 General Trades & Signings

Oof... that's a stinger for ANA. The Ducks are $8M below the cap floor, so they probably match. ANA doesn't spend money, so what does Carlsson care? It's not like they cannot do anything else.

Who's going to play for us? This is how we fit Werenski.

    2026-27 Minor Transactions

Carlton, Herman, thanks for the insight. I guess it's short-sighted to assume the AHL is solely for the development of NHL prospects. I was thinking Cowan should play 20 minutes per game and Danford 25 minutes, but that is not at all a realistic NHL trajectory for them, so you need AHL lifers...

    2026-27 Minor Transactions

This is a real question... Who cares about AHL success? Are they running these teams to make money or to develop?

    2026-27 Minor Transactions

If guys are never NHL-bound, why bother? Gud Pros? If our NHL prospects are not integral pieces in AHL playoff run, what's the point of trying to win a Calder Cup? It's basically meaningless unless you're developing NHL prospects. What am I missing? 10 AHL signings?

Keep pushing Werenski; they will trade you any but 10 teams next summer. Choose your boy, Papi.

2026-27 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion | Official: Sundin & Chayka to lead front office

ChatGPT says (note the Hart trophy winner....): predict nhl26/27 final standings With most of the major offseason still to unfold, this is necessarily speculative. Recent trades and free-agent moves (including Edmonton's retooling and Toronto's continued roster changes) could shift these...

Joshua was on that desired power forward trajectory before his cancer scare. Hopefully, he can stay in the lineup long enough to define his role.

Sergei Bobrovsky is a Maple Leaf

Woll and Stolarz could only crease-share to post decent stats and stay healthy. All biases aside, you never knew when Woll physically/mentally would be available. I think the G is definitely in a better spot today, both in reliability and in skill.
