2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I don't need to know the specific injury, but they should give fans the recovery timeline.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I think we're starting to see what Treliving & Co. were hoping for this offseason with a revamped 3rd line. Whether it is Joshua - Roy - McMann or Knies - Roy - Cowan we're seeing a line that can make a difference.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I know a lot is made of this in the media this time of year, playoff odds for teams at American Thanksgiving. I just want to point out Montreal and Ottawa were last and second last in the East at this time last year and both made the playoffs. In a conference where 50% of the teams qualify for...

Oh, I agree and it's exactly that. Hockey Canada doesn't have their head screwed on straight. JT doesn't PK and that seems to be a pre-requisite for their role players.

I'm going to call it right now, Tavares won't be on the Olympic roster. Hockey Canada is too interested in taking 'role players' instead of the best player available.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Treliving used $6.7m this offseason, and paid for the privilege, to bring in two healthy scratches. I did like the Joshua acquisition when it happened but I never had Maccelli in my offseason lineup mock ups. I never saw the fit above other players on the team (or other players that were...

Treliving used $6.7m this offseason to bring in two 4th liners. 😐

    Blues @ Leafs - Nov. 18th, 7:00pm - TSN4

Stecher already looks better than the other right-shot D that have been playing the last few days.

The Leafs have played better the last two games, at least in terms of limiting egregious turnovers. Lots of injuries piling up. It's gut check time.

    Blackhawks vs. Leafs - Nov. 15th, 7:00pm - SN

I like the line of Knies - Roy - Cowan. I’d still reunite McMann -Tavares - Robertson.

    Kings @ Leafs - Nov. 13th, 7:00pm - SN

I don't understand a comment like this. Only two teams in the entire NHL have scored more goals than the Maple Leafs this year.

I think we all have to agree, Pontus Holmberg was the glue that kept this group together.

I believe the current playoff system obscures things a bit. I'm not sure how successful I think Carolina has been, they are 1-12 in the conference finals (against Atlantic division teams). Like Herman said, there's been an Atlantic division hurdle.

Yeah, this move makes sense after all the centers the Leafs signed in free agency last offseason.

Diaz or Saurez, Fairbanks, Soto, Cease, and Bo. That’s the Jays off-season.
