I originally thought/ presumed it would be the red line, and I do think that would be a bit better, but overall I think it’s a decent idea to try and shake it up a bit.

Yet still 3 games up on the Red Sox, 6.5 up on the yankees, best record in the American League and second best record in MLB. If they can come out of the upcoming run something like 6-4 or even 5-5 they’ll be in a good place. Anything better than that, and, well, that would be lovely.

Exactly how we all called it a week or so into the season.

I agree with LK. One of the things that sort of a tiny bit made the loss of Marner "palatable" was the prospect of added depth and changing identity and all that. Then you look at the bottom 6, which has contributed absolutely the square root of f**k all... and it's the same useless bums...

The thing I'm enjoying about it is they seem to have a bit of that looseness about them they had a few years back before they got all serious and are enjoying playing. I dunno if that's cos they're winning or why they're winning, though. But it's nice to see.

I'd be intrigued by Boeser and the other Tanev (though that's partly the romance of having brothers on the team). JVR for league minimum could be a fun one too. I'd also like to see a scoring defenseman brought in, but not sure if that's a free agency thing. Burns is old and not what he was.
