I'm somewhat debating taking ads down completely and just pay the $150/mth hosting out of pocket.  I got a cheque today - I kid you not - for $1.47 from one of our main advertisers.  I'm gonna frame that sucker.  I wonder what it cost them to make it and mail it...

I much prefer an ad-free Tmlfans site.  While I don't mind ads on websites which I frequent, sometimes it's good to be without.

If the ads generate enough money, then it's different, but that $1.47 cheque ...geez...

If we all need to up our donation money, we shall gladly do.

I should note - Google Adsense isn't that bad.  They pay out $2-3/day, which is good - they used to be $5+ but not anymore
