Cammalleri to NJD

Nice pickup.  They need scoring desperately and this should be some help.

Full season of Schneider, added Cammalleri, plus maybe something else. NJ could be looking at the playoffs next season.

Camalleri always struck me as a guy who would do well in New Jersey.  Not sure that I love 5x5 for him given his health and streaky play but he'll really give them a boost offensively.

They also added Havlat on a cheap 1 year deal. They really only missed the playoffs because they couldn't in the shootout, so, year, they'll almost certainly be in the fight next year.

New Jersey and Nashville both.  Nashville went 2-9 in shootouts and missed the playoffs by three points.  New Jersey went 0-13 and missed the playoffs by 5 points.  Most teams were within 2-3 games of .500 on shootouts.  The Leafs had the biggest differential at +5.  Next year they are likely both .500 teams in shootouts and Nashville going 5-6 gets them in the playoffs and New Jersey going 5-8 also make the playoffs.  Both teams also improved their rosters from last year.

It will be interesting to see if Nashville can still be good with a more open offensive game though.
