With electronics, I don't see kids outside playing road hockey like I use to. I ask kids and find very few watch the games on T.V. I know a few richer kids that play organized hockey, and honestly it seems more of a burden put on them by their parents then anything else. At work, with over 40 guys there, there's only a small handful that follow. It sounds like the Leafs and the NHL are making more money then ever, but are the young and fringe fans finding other sources of entertainment? I took my kids to an OHL game and didn't last 1 period. Hockey can't compete with a video of some annoying guy playing minecraft.
