Game Notes

TOR
?Andersen (13-7-3, 2.56 GAA, .918 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?After winning their first 3 games under Keefe the Leafs have gone 1-3 with their only win coming in OT
?Andreas Johnsson's loss will be Pontus Aberg's gain. The offensive winger was called up yesterday and appears set to make his Leafs debut alongside Matthews and Nylander

STL
?Binnington (13-5-4, 2.30 GAA, .925 Sv%) will likely start for the Blues
?The reigning Cup champs aren't showing any signs of a hangover. They're currently 1st in the Western conference, and that's despite Tarasenko only playing the first 10 games before going down with potentially season ending injury

Injuries

?Trevor Moore - Shoulder - Injured Reserve
?Andreas Johnsson - Leg - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Oskar Sundqvist - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Sam Blais - Wrist - Injured Reserve
?Alexander Steen - Ankle - Injured Reserve
?Vladimir Tarasenko - Shoulder - Injured Reserve

I wish Aberg the best of luck on the top line, but have to admit I hoped Petan might get a chance there .

Meh. He's had enough chances to see what he is. Too good for the AHL, not good enough for the NHL.

I'm still a believer in the old-school thought that you need one player on a top line that doesn't have to have the puck to be effective.

I don't think Petan has had a good enough look on a top line yet. He's played a total of 18 games for the Leafs since trade deadline and I think he's played 1 or 2 on a top line.

Liking the troubadour anthems!

Who was that guy?  I thought those were terrific renditions.

Not a big country fan, but that sounded great!

I'm not either, but yeah, he was very very good.
