Game Notes

TOR
?Campbell (18-5-3, 2.02 GAA, .935 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?The Leafs got some good news as Marner and Engvall exited the COVID-19 protocol and joined the team at practice. They both took their usual spots at practice so it seems like they'll be ready to play
?The bad news was that Ritchie, Kase, and Holl entered the protocol so the dream of having a full line-up for the first time thie season once again escapes us

STL
?Binnington (11-7-3, 2.90 GAA, .910 Sv%) will likely start for the Blues
?St. Louis is 10-2-1 in their last 13 games but have been hit with a number of COVID-19 cases in the past week or so. That includes their 2nd and 3rd highest scoring forwards (Buchnevich and Tarasenko) as well as their #1 defenceman (Parayko)
?A couple of those Blues have been on the protocol list for a little over week now, including Tarasenko, so it's possible they could receive clearance to play
?With several veterans out of the line-up two of St. Louis' younger stars, Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas, wore the 'A' patch on their jerseys in their last game. Kyrou leads the team in scoring with 37 points in 33 games, while Thomas is not too far behind with 28 points in 30 games. Unless you want your day to be absolutely ruined I beg you: DO NOT check where these two players were taken in their draft years and then glance up 3-4 spots

Injuries

?Justin Holl - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
?Nick Ritchie - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
                      ?Ondrej Kase - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
Code:

?Logan Brown - Illness - Questionable
?Vladimir Tarasenko - COVID-19 Protocol - Questionable
?Scott Perunovich - COVID-19 Protocol - Questionable
?Pavel Buchnevich - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
?Colton Parayko - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
?Brayden Schenn - COVID-19 Protocol - Out
?David Perron - COVID-19 Protocol - Out

Glad to see Bozak is still playing.  I always liked him and happy he won a Cup with them.

That's quite a depleted St. Louis roster...I would expect the relatively healthy Leafs to win this one.

I'm with you. Bozak is such a class act.

For anyone who hasn't read the farewell he penned for the Players Tribune as he was leaving Toronto to join the Blues, it's still an amazing read:

I don't mind the folk treatment of the anthems, but ours is just unsingable no matter how it's arranged.
