My big vote is that Lupul will be moved first, perhaps Bozak. There were some pretty condeming words about Bozak in the Sun today.  That he leaves the ice in practice only second to Kessel and has developed a bit of a big head. Everyone knew what we were getting with Phil but Bozak is not in the same league as his buddy talent wise and needs the extra practive time to hone is limited skills.
The players to retain are Kessel, JVR, Kadri, Holland, Gardner, Rielly and Captain Komorav. As far as the rest are concerned I would trade them all.

Will Glencross suit up for them tonight, or is it too soon?

I'm guessing he needs to pass physical testing before he plays his first game, but I don't know how fast that happens.

I think it will be interesting to see if anyone is scratched at the last minute before the game tonight.  If the Leafs have assets that other teams have decided on, minus the formalities, I can't imagine they would want them playing.

I think Reimer gets lit up tonight and Ovechkin gets number 40 (and possibly 41 and 42).

Reimer really wants to play with McDavid

:)

Man cw, just read your tirade in the Erixon thread.  When a voice of reason goes fullbore blowup ... color me impressed.

I am close to agreeing with you -- nobody on this squad is untouchable, including Rielly.  But I do think they should keep him short of an extraordinary offer, he's got a skillset that should flourish in the league the way it's going.

I am torn on what to do with Bernier.

I hope they trade Phaneuf mid game.

Polak skates over, tells him he's been traded, rips off the C and Phaneuf skates off in disgrace.

The return is the best anyone has ever seen in any hockey trade ever.

Nonis is made GM for life and there is a special ceremony for him at the next game. He's then fired on June 30th and we win the draft lottery and select McDavid.

What the hell, Ron, you're making Darryl sad.

I thought that interview was an incredible reveal by Sittler, the story about the player that died, his wife, he was vulnerable yet pretty solid.

I have absolutely no emotional attachment to anyone on this roster ... because for the most part, they played like they had no emotional attachment or devotion towards winning for their fans. And they've done that for a few seasons.

This roster is rotten to the core. They're a disgrace to the jersey. I hope Shanahan really cleans house. Good riddance to the whole lot of them. I won't miss them. There's no place to go but up.

I'd prefer they were worse, at least from a record standpoint, for 1-2 more years (but I think you meant more from a personality/attitude standpoint).
