Line-up Notes

?I'm guessing that Mac starts, but we'll see
?Bernier did not make the trip to NJ, is still considered day-to-day
?No update on Ranger  but I'd expect him to miss another game
?Rest of the line-up is expected to remain the same, largely because we don't have any cap room to make any changes

I'm trying to take refuge in a pretty rickety house of optimism, in terms of making the playoffs.  But if they don't win this one, it gets tricky.  Very tricky.

After thinking about it for awhile, I agree with those who think Reimer should start.  You sink or swim with the guy who was your starter last year, not a career AHLer.

He's played 6 in a row and that includes a back-to-back already. Considering his slump, I certainly don't think it's an easy decision to start Reimer.

You're right, and I won't freak out if they go with MacIntyre.  But I'd take my chances that the Reimer who beat LA shows up.

I really want Reimer to get out of this funk, if for no other reason than to be able to get more value back for him in trade. For this reason, I'd start him, but pull him right away if he gives up another early, weak goal.

I hear you but at the same time can we afford to have another ' oh **** that went in?" first period goal that deflates the team almost from the get go?

Reims will probably get the start but its not an easy slam dunk choice as some might think.

For all the talk about Carlyle not running with his young guys enough, in New Jersey it seems to be much worse.

Gelinas, who's having a great rookie season, will be a healthy scratch. Larsson, the former blue chip 4th overall prospect, is in the AHL.

Their coach really favours his vets.

Larsson is in the AHL because he's basically been a Swedish version of Luke Schenn. Having him spend some serious time in the AHL is the right move for him. Gelinas being a healthy scratch is a more confusing, though. He has been very good for them. Maybe he's not so healthy.

Didn't even realise there was a game tonight.

Thank goodness for the gamecenter app reminding me

I'm OK with them not calling that sort-of trip on Clarkson as long as they let 'em all go.
