This happened as I was writing the GDT:

Jonas Siegel ‏@jonasTSN1050  6m
Peter Holland recalled from the Marlies.

So unless there's a late injury somewhere, I'd expect it means Kulemin goes back to the wing and Holland plays 3C.

My wishful lineup for tonight

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Kulemin
Raymond-Holland-Clarkson
McLaren-McClement-Bodie

Rielly-Phaneuf
Gunnarsson-Franson
Gardiner-Gleason

Wow. Kessel has 28 more points than the Habs' leading scorers.

That's what good defensive hockey can do for you. The difference between a good one and a crappy one. Even with our scoring still think if it wasn't for the early play of Reimer and Bernier we wouldn't be in the playoffs.

Montreal's not a good defensive team.  They're better than the Leafs (probably every team in the league is right now) but they're still not good.  They are regularly outchanced most games, but they have elite goaltending like the Leafs, and their PK isn't bottom 2 in the league.

Bodie-McClement-Smith

I could get behind that 4th line.  According to Paul Hendrick that's what it will be tonight, Kulemin will shift to 3rd line wing with Holland centering.

I'd like to change Smith to someone who can play a more physical style, (like, I don't know, Ashton or D'Amigo), but, otherwise, yeah. Probably the best 4th line the team has had all season. Now, let's get them a few more shifts so the rest of the forwards aren't worn out by the 3rd period.

I hope they just trade Reimer. What does he have to do to get a start. Bernier lost the last game IMO, it would only seen a given the Reimer starts this game. Given his record against the Habs.

No Price means this game should be very winnable.  Why, it's just like the Islanders being without Tavares!  :-X

Like I said, regardless of your personal feelings towards Reimer, the team has clearly identified Bernier - who has been excellent much more often than not - as the starter.

Benching him after one rusty outing following a two-week layoff would make zero sense. Zero.

I just don't like Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson.

Agreed. I hope when Bolland comes back Kuly and Clarkson switch again.

He has one good game and then gets on the 2nd line.  For all the talk about Kadri not playing well earlier in the year, how is Clarkson not an entitled player who is getting ice-time completely without merit?

Intangibles!

You have to feel for Kadri and Lupul. Clarkson is an absolute anchor. Randy's insistence on continuing to try something that just doesn't work isn't surprising, but it's really irritating.

jonasTSN1050: Lines vs. MTL: van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Kessel. Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson. Raymond-Holland-Kulemin. McLaren-McClement-Bodie.

jonasTSN1050: Defence: Gunnarsson-Phaneuf. Gardiner-Franson. Gleason-Rielly. Goaltender: Bernier.

Well, unless Siegel is wrong, there goes the dream of a face-puncher-less 4th line.

Well someone has to not fight Parros.
