How has Brennan looked the last two games?

Like a guy who belongs in the AHL.

I only watched his first game, but yeah. Slow. Not very assertive in the defensive end. Has a good shot as advertised, although (again just in the 1st game that I watched) it almost seemed like the top PP unit was hesitant to put the puck in his direction.

I'd agree with the first part but it looked to me like the PP (especially Dion who never wants to shoot, still injured?) was trying to get him the puck a lot in the last game.

That's good, hopefully an adjustment was made there between games or maybe they just felt more comfortable with him after a game.

Yeah, last game they tried to set him up.

I was also surprised how tightly he was covered on the PP

Phaneuf never wants to shoot?  He's averaging 2.5 shots per game since returning from injury which, if it was over a full season, would be within the top 20 in D for shots per game.

Well then, he's obviously a shot-hog now.  Why doesn't he let some of his teammates shoot the puck for a change?

Let's hope Bernier does so well tonight that the Oilers will trade their 1st round pick to acquire him before the draft.  ;)

Ya I love the Klinghammer name. Saw him play when he was with the Yotes and was very impressed, I think in his first game with them I believe he scored twice.

C'mon, boys.  It's time to bear up, dig shallow, look away from the mirror, do none of the little things and give 0%.  You're playing for shame now.  You need to sit down as children and show nothing that you're capable of.  This game is yours for the giving!

The Leafs have the potential to sweep the season series against the Oilers, as well as win a second game on the road this year (twice in the same month!).  Which is exactly why I think they're going to lose.  Bernier has played well recently so he's probably due for a few softies, while Scrivens will be motivated to beat the Leafs.

Prediction:  5-1 Oilers!  :D

It's best to keep things complicated and ignore the game plan. You know, just take it two shifts at a time. They simply have to hate it more than the other guys.

You need to play a 1-way game at this time of the year...get pucks in not deep.
