So Theo is playing great and the Pens have a chance to repeat.
That's cool and everything, but I am more interested in what Pittsburgh does after the playoffs are over. They can only protect one. I know Fleury has some sort of a 'no movement clause' but it's my understanding the Pens can trade him to a limited number of teams. Both Fleury and Murray are excellent goalies. Murray is younger.
Cap Friendly has the expansion draft set up in a way that would force the Pens to protect Fleury as long he doesn't waive his NMC. Is this accurate?
I would guess the Pens would prefer to keep Murray and deal Fleury.
What trade might happen?
Fleury to the Flames?
Canucks?
