Round 1: (C1) Colorado vs. (W1) Minnesota

Colorado's been riding the unsustain-train all season, so I think this could be a close one.  Either way I think they're run over in Round 2.

I'm pretty surprised Minnesota finished with 98 points. Colorado takes them in 5 before losing to whoever they face next.

Woah. Avs down 4-3 with a minute and a half left in the game and Erik Johnson makes a diving swipe to stop an empty net goal for Minnesota. Then they go on to tie the game with 13 seconds left.

MacKinnon becomes the first rookie to record 3 assists in his first playoff game. The poise he showed behind the net on the game winner was insane.

Saw the highlights on NHL.com. The only thing that really turned me off was the hometown call. I can understand the excitement of calling the game, but for some reason that seems a little bush league to me. The calls for the Chi-Stl and SJ-LA games seemed a bit more balanced.

Saw the replay of the winning goal again and watched an Avs player collide with a Wild player in front of the net. That player would have had a shot at stopping Stastny. (sorry, wasn't looking at the names too closely)

The American commentators said MacKinnon and Landeskog are the new Forsberg and Sakic, a little premature perhaps.

Gross, I quoted myself.

Thinking about this some more, they also have a highly regarded goalie with domestic violence stigma too.
