Sheldon Keefe: Coach Of The Year candidate?

If the Leafs continue their current torrid pace under his direction, I think he has to be given some consideration.

He works have to be considered but I don't think the Leafs can keep up this pace. I think the leading candidate has to be Sullivan from Pitt. That team keeps on rolling despite injuries.

I know it's not going to keep up at such a torrid winning % but what kind of magic sauce is Keefe making here. He's had a fantastic winning % at every level he's coached at, it gets progressively harder for each level you move up, but so far he's doing the same magic he's done at other levels. This is a quarter of the season already, I'm starting to get excited.

To be honest I'm probably less impressed with Keefe right now, who's main accomplishment is getting a talented team to play well, than I am with someone like Tocchet who's getting a pretty mediocre roster to deliver pretty solid results. My ballot right now would probably be:

1. Tocchet
2. Brind'Amour
3. Sullivan

And Boston is getting nervous.
