On September 22nd, 2012, all the members of Team Canada 1972 will be inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame, due to take place in a ceremony in Toronto.
Now, how many of you remember that Canada-Russia '72 Summit Series? Even for some of you not even old enough to watch it, how did you come about to know it? For the many, what did this Series mean to you and how would you define it?
In the words of Marcel Dionne, former L.A. King and Team Canada member...
"It was not about hockey," said Dionne, who was on Canada's roster but didn't play. "It was about our life, our style of living being better than the communist country and we didn't realize that until we got there."
