Where is Kadri and what's going on with his development?

I haven't heard much about him in awhile.  Perhaps he's not going to pan out.  Thoughts?

Ummm leading the Marlies in scoring with 21 points in 17 games and starting to get credit for cutting down on turnovers and playing a better two-way game.

he was named ahl's player of the month in november and the Leafs are keeping him in the AHL to work on his defensive play.  Read:

Like no one has called your house and told you about him?

There's lots of discussion about him on this very site, not to mention just googling his name in regular google search or a google news search.

Lolz.

He's performing at about Joe Colborne-esque levels in the last little while. Which is fantastic. Since Joe was the best player in the AHL while he was playing there. I'd say Nazem is the best player in the AHL right now.

I love it.  Guys named AHL player of the month a few days ago and "I haven't heard much about him lately" comes up.  Too funny.

I think Kadri will be in our top six about two years down the road when everyone's contract is up.  Seriously Connolly, Lupul, Lombardi, MacArthur, Armstrong, Bozak, steckel and orr are ufas.  I'm hoping for him to be on the 2nd line with a top 9 like this

Lupul - Getzlaf - Kessel
Kadri - Grabovski - Kulemin
MacArthur - Bozak - Frattin

Did we draft Getzlaf's younger brother Ricky?

He's being traded:  Sportsnet?s Jeff Marek mentioned during his podcast with Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo Sports on Monday that the latest fodder in the Leafs rumor mill is a deal with Columbus that would send 2009 first round pick Nazem Kadri to the Blue Jackets for center Derick Brassard.

I read it on HockeyBuzz.  8)

You rely on yahoo sports?  They're not that credible.

The above trade would be done if JFJ was GM, but he would have included a 1st rounder or one of the Leafs promising young players such as Gardiner to get the deal done.  Burke is the one who robs the other GMs in trades, not the other way around.

I don't think its that egregious.  I had no idea Kadri was even playing.  Kadri isn't brought up that often.

I live in the states though, they don't talk about Kadri on ESPN.

So, thanks for the update.

In some US markets hockey has less importance than and in no particular order:  football, baseball, basketball, nascar, college football, college basketball, bowling.  When I am in the US watching sports, it means I have to wait at least 20 minutes before I can get the hockey scores, and the highlights are very sparse.
