You know what is cool.  Paying a guy 2.204M/year to coach the Russian women's hockey team.

Heard the other day that only Lemieux, Bossy and Bure have a higher Goals-Per-Game rate than Ovechkin.

He was also the 6th youngest to 300 goals and did it in the 7th fewest games. All the guys ahead of him on both lists are Hall of Famers and household names.

Milbury isn't alone. I know a guy who continually calls OV "washed up" because he hasn't hit 50 goals in a couple of seasons now.

I know he rubs a lot of people the wrong way but he isn't just a good goal scorer, he is going down in history as one of he greatest.

:D :D :)

A shootout win catapults Washington from 10th to 3rd.

Wow. I completely wrote them off. Facing the 3rd seed might not be so ideal anymore.

Ovie has really turned it on.  His goal total has soared to one of the league leaders.

He has another goal so far tonight.

Finished with 2 - tied with Stamkos for league lead at 25.

Tied for the league lead??!!?!? That's pathetic!

The old Ovechkin would have out scored the rest of the league by a dozen goals or more!

Yadda yadda yadda... Thanks for proving once again that Mike Milbury is an imbecile.

I don't think Milbury was wrong when he assessed Ovechkin as just going through the motions. At the time, that's exactly what he was doing. Perhaps Milbury's comments lit a fire under him.

Nothing like one of the worlds biggest blowhards and asshats telling you that you suck to give you motivation to turn it on.

Stamkos kept pace by scoring his 26th as well. Turned out to be the winner in the Bolts' regulation win over the sens.

And good for Ovechkin. I'm not his biggest fan but it was sad to see him reduced to a 30 goal/60 point guy.

Just read this, but when was this true?  He put up 65 pts last season, but scored 38 goals.

Why would I respond to somebody who has me on their ignore list?

To the list you go!

Do you not see the inherent contradiction in me replying to you if you were actually on an ignore list?  Would that be considered ignoring?

Nope I have no idea. I've never used an ignore list so I wouldn't have a clue how it works.

At any rate, is it really worth debating semantics over how many points difference? 65 vs 60.. who cares man.

Ovechkin with 16 goals in his last 13 games.  If he scores 6+ goals this wouldn't even he his worst season total for goals (32).

Secretly hoping Subban wins the Noris this year, blows everyone out again next year...then Toronto signs him! Its gotta work right? Right?
