Yes, the NHL and the PA will talk today. But the topic would not really make it a bargaining call. Its on 1 specific topic.

I wonder what that topic is?

Which specific hitman is going to take out the Count?

Could be wrong, but I don't think they'd discuss that with Daly? Or would they?

Probably finalizing the monument to stupidity and the NHL is worried how to sculpt Bettman as being the same height as Fehr without making him look like a hobbit on steroids.

It's his plan to take control of the NHL. Codename Kingmaker.

My end of Chanukkah prediction is looking wobbly. C'mon, PA and NHL, get into the spirit of the season which is about...an oil based miracle of some kind...latkes...I'm pretty sure there was a temple involved...dreidels...chocolate money for some reason...

Presents. Lets go with presents.

DarrenDreger: Doesn't sound like PA is willing to work with the NHL's 3 main issues. League responded by saying it won't budge. No progress. As you were.

and thats the problem the has multiple issues it considers "the hill it will die on" and is not willing to move on those issues or to offer anything that would benefit the players.

Speaking of which, why do my latkes always turn in to hash browns? #doingitwrong.

The chief culprit is usually not adding anything besides potato. Throw in a couple eggs and flour for binding.

I know that Forbes is not exactelly sports magazine, but this is a very good read from quite a different perspective.

I would not go for such a drastic contraction. A relocation may save some of those teams mentioned.

Could it be the owners do not want to settle so they can drop 6 teams from the league! If that happens then 150 NHL jobs are gone. Players had better fire Fehr and settle. League fire Bettman and settle.

I like mine with lox, red onion and capers. I may have overdone it a little bit this past weekend, but I do only get my mother's latkes once a year.
