Actually still don't think Kessel touched it. Didn't look like the puck changed direction at all.

If you look at the shot from behind the net it does change direction, I was looking for it.  Or so it seemed to me.

I think he pretty clearly did, just kept it going in the same direction.  You could see it touching his stick.

Not that it matters...

I thought it looked like the puck sped up when it passed Kessel's stick

2 passes to Kessel that were directed into the net by Blue Jackets.

In all seriousness.  I thought they played well and I'm glad that Phaneuf wipe out didn't ruin things.

@mirtle: Leafs possession under Carlyle: 44.2%

Leafs possession under Horacheck: 55.6%

(Small sample size)

How JVR knew it should have been his goal? Overheard during the team exeunt after the first, in a mumbling fugue, 'nice pass, nope, not feelin' it boys'....

Screw video challenges.  Part of the charm of the sport is that you don't always get a proper call -- just like in real life.

I'm fine with missed calls when it comes to penalties. But you should always be able to get goals called correctly, one way or another. That means looking at things like goalie interference especially.

I'm fine with video review (initiated by refs).  I don't want coaches' challenges.
