Bah.  Carlyle's has mismanaged the lines, and I don't understand why they can't play the system that they used last year where there was speed and forechecking, instead of counterpunching.

But as others have said, there are too many talented guys not living up to their paychecks at the moment.  The skill is there; the will isn't.

Leo Komarov gave a robust forechecking element that hasn't been made up in my opinion, by Clarkson or anyone else.  Forechecking that created turnovers and more time in the offensive zone.

Good point.  Clarkson should be doing it.  So should McClement for that matter.

Clarkson does a decent job of forechecking.  He then immediately looks to score a goal and gets tunnel vision that means he ignores his teammates.  He has a career high of 16 assists.  He's a guy who has little-to-no ability to facilitate offense for others.

LHF is going to delete me but Lupul is either the unluckiest hockey player in HISTORY I TELLS YA (this may be an exaggeration...) or made of china.

I'm not seeing anyone doing a whole lot of forechecking, at least in terms of creating turnovers.

Why does Carlyle insist on always having Fraser on the ice with our fourth line?  There is just watched too much skating liability out there at the same time...

The only positive I see in this game is that Kessels' effort level has been good the whole time and not just when the pucks on his stick.

It's bizarre to say this about an NHL player but the guy really can't pass, Mainly he hogs the puck and gives it away, but even on two-on-one type plays he seems to have no idea what he's doing.

Hey James.  Thanks for winning us the Washington game.  Here.  Have another odd man rush.
