For some shifts, I'd throw Simmonds out against Anderson to try and get him off his game. He was a menace in game one and the Leafs had no reply. That, or try matching Foligno against him. It doesn't have to be for every shift, but just someone to answer him when he's trying to cause havoc.

I hate to talk about must win games this soon into it but they can?t go back to Montreal down by 2, like Edmonton is now heading to Winnipeg. So just win tonight . Win it for Johnny guys!!

GO LEAFS GO!!

Foligno at centre is a horrible idea.

It might be.  But he is defensively sound so if he lets Galchenyuk and Nylander gamble a little on offense it may pay off.

I would have brought Simmonds out and played Brooks.  In a way meant to inspire I would have said to that line that the team needs more from them.

To me there is a very easy response to this stuff. Take away the Sun's access to the team.

A bold approach, but at this time I think it would just make for more distractions around the team.

I bet Terry agrees with Dubas about his paper's cover.

Terry is probably the only good one there.

Taking away access is not the route I'd go with, drama notwithstanding. Melnyk takes away access, for example, and that's blatantly despotic behaviour.

No indication where that knee injury became from yet eh?

Pretty gross that there wasn't a knee on knee penalty called on Chiarot there. If this was a normal body check the whole sequence doesn't happen.

Kris Versteeg called out this hit.

Man I am really not liking our centre depth. Part of me wonders if they should've tried Willy out at centre more or have more redundancy options.

On the flip side the Leafs beat teams without Matthews in the game repeatedly so there's that but man I don't like it.
