Win 20 comes tomorrow.

Is Rittich hurt?

I forgot about the whole "Rittich owns our souls" thing. Markstrom has started 6 games in a row so seems like they're riding him now. But yeah we'll see him Friday or Saturday I'm sure.

Edmonton beat Winnipeg last night and pulled into a point tie with the Leafs.  They have 3 more games played than the Leafs.  It also set Winnipeg 2 points back of the Leafs with both teams playing 30 games.

Looking forward to see Galchenyuk debut and Simmonds back in action. Too bad for Boyd, I liked his game a lot.

Go Leafs Go!!!

The test drive is coming up a bit earlier than I expected.

Stuff he needed to work on:

What he looked like on the Marlies (on scoring plays):

I also think he will benefit from playing with Tavares/Nylander.  :D

I was thinking the same and then realized he's been with the Leafs for over a month now. He basically had 2 weeks straight of nothing but work with the development team before playing his first game with the Marlies. I'm hoping for the best for him and the Leafs! I think he has a great opportunity here.

I hope he finds a way to be a solid contributor but I'm not counting on it.  These reclamation jobs are always long shots, maybe even more than bringing in people from the KHL.

If Simmonds can get back to where he was before he went out, that's a massive addition. The whole team was playing a couple inches taller when he was in the lineup.

What happened to Boyd?  Can't find anything on him.

Maybe, but he was a contributing NHL player not that long ago, and he's still young. If he can approach his 18/19 production, at his current salary, that's a fantastic return. I wouldn't have any notion that he'll be able to return to the 30 goal guy he was once, but a 15ish, 40ish point guy? If he's serious about improving his game - and, so far, it appears as though he is - that's not out of the question.

Kristen Shilton got Galchenyuk all verklempt;

I never actually heard Galchenyuk speak before, for some reason I thought he'd had an American accent cause he was born in the States but he's got a slight Russian type accent in his voice.  I'm all messed up, it's like when I thought Kapanen would sound Finnish and he speaks like an American.

He spent most of his childhood in Europe (dad was a Belarusian hockey player who played in Wisconsin when Alex was born). While Kapanen was born in Finland but spent most of his childhood in the U.S. (also because of his hockey playing dad of course).
