Game 13: Flyers @ Leafs - 7:00pm, SNet-O, RDS2

Players Colton Orr has more goals than this season: Henrik Sedin, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Max Pacioretty, Mike Cammalleri, Drew Doughty, Ryane Clowe.

I'm not sure if this was posted earlier but van Riemsdyk walked around Schenn for his goal tonight.

Just wanted to point it out.

Mark Fraser +5  :o

Wow, I can't even recall the last time a Leaf was +5.  I'm really liking Fraser.  He's bringing that Rouse/Lefebvre element the Leafs have missed for so long.

I love that he can fight as well. Having McClaren, Orr, Brown (when he's healthy) and Fraser, is quite frankly more than enough muscle. Kostka fighting the other night was a nice surprise as well.

Unlike some others, I don't think he sucks at all. I wouldn't have the guy on the PP but as a #1 paring D-man he's held his own. Very steady IMO.

Well, that was unexpected.

It's a shame about Reimer, but Carlyle said they don't think it's too serious at this point. Scrivens came in cold and did very well. (On that note, didn't they used to allow a few warm-up shots for the back-up in the event of an injury?)

Kadri and Frattin are looking more and more like they actually belong in the NHL this year and I'm loving the contributions of gritty guys like Fraser and Orr.

Back to back smacks of the Habs and Flyers is definitely sweet. I don't know what this season will ultimately bring, it's still probably going to be a dogfight to make the playoffs, but these two games have me happier than I've been in a long time to be a Leaf fan.

Great win. Especially the fact that it was on home ice.  And against the Flyers!

The Reimer injury has me worried.  As long as it isn't season-ending for #34, and nothing too serious, then he'll have a chance to return sooner.  Let's hope for that.

But, if Reimer is out for the season...Scrivens alone is not enough.  If his back-up is a raw rookie (such as Rynnas), this doesn't bode too well if the team needs to advance further, to ensure a playoff spot.

?It won?t be a long, drawn out process,? Carlyle said of Reimer?s recovery, adding that further tests still needed to be done.

Hope he's right. The way Reimer has been playing it would be a huge blow if he was out for a while.

Fraser is beasting this year.  Who knows if he can keep it up but I've been continously impressed with him.

He hits, he fights, he wins battle along the boards then chips it out, he plays safe, he's (apparently) a great guy in the room (Carlyle said it after the game last night) and his first pass isn't even bad!  Unlike Komi, for example, who likes to sail his passes knee high.

If he keeps it up, he's a perfect cheap stay-at-home d-man.

Yeah I'm liking Fraser.  I think his time in the Devils organization and almost 100 games with them prepared him well for the D-first mentality that Carlyle teaches.

Great piece in the Sun by Simmons about Fraser and his family.  Fraser speaks very highly of Eakins and how he got his career back on track.

Fraser and Holzer are both the types of players the Leafs have been lacking the past few seasons. They have had an immediate impact on the team, and deserve to stay with the big club. I would imagine a guy like Gunnar becomes trade bait now. Who's looking for a reliable defenseman that can log big minutes?  I would think we are pretty set on defense. Besides a goalie and a big talented centerman, what area should the Leafs look to upgrade at?
