I hope Carlyle swaps out some players tonight. I think he needs to sit a big name player to get a message across.

Problem is who draws in other than Steckel up front? Id sit Kostka myself...

JVR or Kessel?  Based on last night, one of them should sit.  They were both invisible.

Thing is, it doesn't really work that way.

hmmm...wonder if we see liles back in tonight.  Seems we need a guy in there who can move the puck well and minimize giveaways.

Tavares is having a banner year, leading the team as captain.  Too bad the Islanders are not.  Will this team ever make the playoffs??!!

They've done it more recently than us.

Reimer is playing?

Almost guaranteed.  After Scrivens struggled on back to backs last time plus he was looking a bit rough in the 2nd half last night I can't see Carlyle going with him tonight.

The Islanders last playoff appearance was in 2007. (6 years ago).
                                                                          1983
They last won the Cup (their 4th consecutive) in 1984 :)  30 years ago.

The Leafs last playoff appearance was in 2004. (9 years ago).

They last won the Cup in 1967.  :(  46 years ago.

markhmasters: Nabokov starts for NYI; Ullstrom & Aucoin will be scratched; Martinek, Finley, Boulton in the lineup v Leafs

They won their last Cup in 83, not 84.

markhmasters: Scrivens on the ice this morning along with the scratches from last night & Frattin; all signs pointing to Reimer returning tonight

I read somewhere that Frattin is still a ways off from returning, and the Leafs could really use his goal scoring ability soon. Lupul I've heard is pretty close. Maybe a week or so. Reimer, perhaps tonight? Hopefully these returnees can help bolster this club before any sort of slide begins. They did not look good at all last night against the Habs. Tonight must be a rebound game. GLG!

From what I've read, they both could be back in the next week or so. The Leafs would just need to open up a couple roster spots, as they're currently carrying the maximum 23.
