Yeah, but even the most disciplined of guys might get there arms up in the Connolly situation.

Doesn't change the fact that it's a clear penalty, whereas Schenn's was not - or, at least, was not as clear.

Could this be the TSN turning point on the Leafs abysmal PK? Or is fate just playing a cruel joke on Leaf fans? Stay tuned and find out! ;D

in the next episode of "As The Stomach Turns"

Why do they NEVER call the hit from behind when it is in the open ice.  Steckel was hit right in the numbers there.

That was a pretty sexy little move from Kadri to get that shot away, almost snuck it in too

No idea, but it is clearly a penalty:

43.1 Checking from Behind ? A check from behind is a check delivered on a player who is not aware of the impending hit, therefore unable to protect or defend himself, and contact is made on the back part of the body. When a player intentionally turns his body to create contact with his back, no penalty shall be assessed.

I don't believe our defenseman was anywhere near the puck when taken down. Some reason that wasn't an interference penalty?

That hit on Steckel's numbers was nice too.
