Game 6: Bruins @ Leafs - Apr. 21st, 3:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Why is Marleau on the ice with less than 2 minutes and the net empty?  Is it his zero goals that creates inspiration from Babcock?

Babcock's had 4 games now to figure out what to do with the loss of Kadri, and so far his answer has been: I guess we won't have depth scoring.

Oh, and win the special teams battle.

Frustrating.

The bright side is that Matthews looks like a full-blown superstar even in a tight, tight series.  I was wondering whether he'd step his game up and I'd say he, Rielly, and Andersen have done that.

Yup this is why he got the 2nd highest AAV in the league.

Game 7 here we come again. Some questionable moves by Babs in this game. JT line was a no show again. Ennis penalty changed the game. We had all the momentum for the first 10 minutes.

The PP has been a big disappointment and a big part of the reason this series is going to game 7. I don't know why they don't ever move Matthews over to the right side. He's scored multiple goals from over there at even strength (and came damn close to the tying goal). Also feel like Babcock rushes PP1 off the ice too soon, it's like once the clock hits 1 minute they will turn into pumpkins if they don't get off the ice.

He proved he's worth it.

Tavares has done his best shutting down the Bergeron line and all, but damn we need a goal from him. Marner needs to step up too in game 7.

Anyone ever say Matthews doesn't bring it can piss off. Next to Freddie he's been our best player.

Babcock has to go when a coach couldn't get his team ready to play for so many game during the season. There is no system at all. If there is one, every move us so predictable, especially on the power play. Like Cherry said, they don't deserve to win!

Unless they get blown out/collapse in G7, my take is that this will have been basically an even series.  Leafs no longer intimidated by the Bruins -- a step forward.  Andersen, Rielly, Matthews all playing at a high level.  What we are looking at is an artifact of the seeding system.

That?s why you don?t pull the goalie til you have the puck.  How many times will Babcock get burned on this?  Someone please tell me how Babcock is not costing us this series.

Huge opportunity and leafs didn?t bother to show until the 3rd period.  91 and 16, would be nice if they did anything really.

Of course.  More Marleau in extra attacker situation, Babcock is a joke.
There should be some sustained pressure and structure in the O zone before pulling. Almost burned them on another goal as well.

I don?t know if I can watch game 7.  It might have to be on another room where I can listen.  It?s honestly not good for my health to go through this.

I can?t stand pulling the goalie with that much time left.  I?ll never understand it.

Under a minute with an offensive zone face off or offensive control of the puck otherwise the game is just thrown away in my opinion.
Because statistically it gives you more time to make a play happen that results in a goal. Generally the earlier the better, but you need to have decent possession.
