Hypothetical: If the Leafs blow it up...

[Nik]

The only allure for a big name coach to come to Toronto and do a full rebuild would be the potential to be known as "THE ONE".

The next coach who comes to Toronto will probably be subject to the allure of a ton of money.

Kyper on twitter claiming the Avs are putting out feelers regarding O'Reilly and are seeking D help.

He has the Sabres and Leafs showing interest.

Phaneuf for O'Reilly?

O'Reilly's the closest we would probably get to a top centre for a little while. If Colorado is shopping him Toronto needs to be involved.

I can't believe he's only 23 (24 in February).

Phaneuf and E Johnson as a top pairing would be decent.

O'Reilly as a top center with the Leafs would also be decent.  Sign him to a Kessel contract and be set for many years.
