The Islanders are completing back to back games in Toronto, but they just beat Dallas 7-3.

Curious to see who starts in goal.  And I really wish RC would at least put Holland on the 3rd line.  D'Amigo/Holland/Kulemin would at least be interesting to watch.

Tavares is 'Mr Everything' for the Islanders.  This team is in the doldrums and making the post-season seems like a far cry now...

Agreed. That line looks real nice also, I think the Islanders would have problems with them all night, as most of the coverage would be on 1st and 2nd lines.

jonasTSN1050: Extra work for Gunnarsson this morning. Doesn't look like he'll play. Will know for certain shortly.

The fact that he's at least on the ice right now is nice. Doesn't seem like a long-term thing.

why do they have Holland on the 4th line between two lug nuts.  Come on now.

I agree.  Holland has actually impressed me so far.  As long as he is with somewhat skilled linemates he has performed well and has chipped in a nice number of goals since he arrived.

McClement has been McClement this season which is fine.  Wins faceoffs, kills penalties and competes on every shift.  The only thing that is missing from him is any type of offense.

I say, move Holland to the 3rd line and McClement to the 4th line.  We all know that McClement will be sprinkled in on the PK and to take defensive zone draws so he'll get his ice time.

Just my 2 cents...

Or if you move Holland to the 4th but him between D'Amigo and recall Carter Ashton from the Marlies. Home Alone is on a tear right now and this line could spell the other lines with some real energy ice time.
This article I just read advocates very articulately  on this and worth your time:

I loved that moment last game, when Holland was leading an offensive rush and just as it was looking like it might lead to something, Colton Orr skated into him.

Orr doesn't skate with his head up...without the puck sometimes.  That was something I found amazing at the game on Saturday.

What you suggest seems so logical and obvious it's laughable. I'm not one to get on the coach all the time, but putting Holland on the 4th line AND playing both Orr and Mclaren (heck, either of them) is just crazy.

I believe Holland should be on the 2nd line. He had a lot of success there. Kadri is slumping. Come on Carlyle!

Look at what D'Amigo has brought to the team, some real energy and hustle. If Carter "Home Alone" Ashton is tearing it up, bring him up and add some more energy and hustle and "scoring"..
My main concern with Randy C is his insistance on keeping Fraser and Fraser and Bolthead Orr.  We have some good young players, lets play them.
And yes Holland should be our 2nd line centre, Kadri 3,  and Jay you know where you belong.

I think Carlyle is offering Kadri every opportunity to seize that second line center position. If he doesn't start producing soon though, I have a feeling he'll be benched for a few.

I am thinks this will be a rebound game, 5 - 2 buds, kessel with a couple and Bozak with 2 pts.  8)

I've changed my mind on Orr.  I want him to play every game.  I want him to set the record for most games without a point.

Wow that was not very nice. Mr Orr is a very nice person.
