So both goals on Bernier, what's the issue with pulling him after 2 goals if they're both on him?

That would mean equal treatment for everyone, and we know that's not how things work around here.

When did Reimer get pulled after two goals?

He never started the next game after being pulled, that's for sure.

If he hadn't allowed a couple of goals in relief against the Rangers, maybe he would've.

Or anywhere, for that matter. I've never understood this comment as if its some sort of platitude, especially in sports.

Early in the 2nd, and your goalie gives up the 2nd of two bad goals to put your team behind, and most coaches pull him.

Does anyone like those no play zones for goalies in the corners?

I think they're ridiculous.

I think that was aimed at Marty Brodeur.

We don't have them in Europe and they make absolutely no difference to the game.

Well I guess except for the odd occasion when you do a Bernier, and that's as likely for a goalie going into the corner and getting stripped of the puck by a fore checker

That last play by Kadri sums up his season.  Can't make a pass and it ends up in the goalie's feet.  I have no idea what's the matter with him.  Here, you can't blame RC, Kadri has had plenty of chances to shine.

Nothing's really "wrong" with him.  He had extraordinary luck in a shortened season.  It was discussed by Mirtle in the off-season and by Cam Charron in the summer, and here more recently: http://theleafsnation.com/2013/12/30/nazem-kadri-appears-to-be-struggling-should-not-be-traded

Basically the on-ice SH% he had last season was highest in the league and very likely unsustainable - which has proven correct as it's basically half that this season.

Just as a shortened season made Grabovski undervalued by many, the shortened season made Kadri overvalued.  Kadri's still above average.

That's good info and surely true.  But actually I'm just talking about how he looks on the ice.  He's got high-end skill and too much of the time this year he looks like he's still feeling out the AHL level.

That said, he's been good on faceoffs tonight at least.

I have to say, as someone who was very critical/questioning of Gleason, he has looked pretty solid so far tonight.

On the other side, Franson-Phaneuf continues to be a bad combination on the PP.
