Jets @ Leafs - Nov. 4th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

The NHLPA agreed on mandatory visors in 2013.  It's grandfathered in the same way as helmets but I believe that Komarov doesn't get to be a grandfathered candidate.

For the record, Komarov isn't forced to wear a visor. He's always worn it like that.

Which brings us to the original question.

I know 2-on-1s are hard to play, but Gardiner needs to stay on his feet.

He went down to try and block the pass, fairly standard move.

Regardless, that was a 2-on-1 with a crossover at the top of the circle. That's basically un-defendable if you don't have someone else coming back to help.

Boyes on the top PP unit. Nice.

Come on man, I just gave you a nod and you skate back like that on the goal?

Yea that was bad, for a guy excited to wear the Leafs jersey, that was a weak attempt to get back.

Now I got the old lady chirping me cuz the Jets won, the fact that the Jets had a tough time tonight is funny. I think I'll keep her Jets jersey on the toilet tank for a while still haha

He flopped around on the ice like a fish out of water.

I blame the lose on that play darn awful

So not on the fact that they completely outplayed by the Jets after tying the game up? Or the fact that they couldn't score more than 2 goals? You know, the real reasons why they lost. The Jets were the better team tonight, they deserved to win.

Blaming a loss on a single play is such a silly thing to do. If Bozak didn't go offside that one time in the 3rd period maybe Matthias scores a goal and we aren't even living in this universe anymore?

No it's not. No coach worth his/her salt at any level will ever tell you to leave your feet. The moment you leave your feet you take yourself out of the play.

It was a tough play, but he played it poorly.

My head just exploded.

Except all the coaches that preach shot blocking, which is essentially what Gardiner was attempting to do.

Kadri should probably consider burning all of his sticks at this point, if he hasn't already done so.

Crosby scored last night, so Kadri will tomorrow.
