Yeah. Don?t love moving the 1st for this - though, that pick is going to be a late pick. Would have preferred a more impactful piece.
 
Adds sandpaper for the playoffs, hopefully it works out. His dad will be happy anyway.

I mean a late 1st could be another Sandin or Robertson, so they've had some success there (Robertson of course drafted a little later than that). Still shows that those aren't exactly pieces to toss aside.

Some saving grace is that this draft could be a bit of a mess.

Not really. The Leafs are in a win it now, not in 3 years when this 1st rounder may turn into a player. I also have full confidence in Dubas' drafting skills. Top 10 would be a big deal, this isn't.
