Leafs Acquire Riley Nash

Out 4-6 weeks.  No cap implications in regular season...worst case costs a 7th. Best case he returns in playoffs, he contributes and they win the cup for a 6th rounder

Nash's numbers all seem to suggest he's a pretty solid defensive bottom-6 option with no offensive game to speak of. I could see him replacing Engvall come playoff time. Curious thing would be who another potential trade acquisition replaces.

He had 41 points in 17/18 with the bruins but that was a while ago and only one season.

Nash was once traded from Edmonton for the draft pick used to draft Marty Marincin.  Life comes full circle

Engvall-Nash-Mikheyev would make a decent make sure nothing happens line, and alleviates the centre-pressure from Engvall during crunch time.
