Another 2am face off :(

I wonder what I have on in work tomorrow and how important it is that I'm in a state of alertness for it...

I just hope they play all three periods. Go leafs Go

Just checked and it's kind of crazy that Phil is tied for 3rd in league scoring. It doesn't even really feel like he's playing his best hockey yet either.

And from Paul Hendrick:

Phil Kessel's 10 assists in 12 games is impressive. Kessel didn't reach that plateau untill the 27th game last season. #TMLtalk

The crazy part about it is that all of his points come from 7 games. He's been held of the score sheet for almost half the Leafs' games. It does feel like he's off to a slower start, but, he's putting up big numbers.

If this is his "slump" part of the season he could possibly be looking at breaking 90 points this season.

If this is how his "slumps" go this season, he's going to crack 100. I don't expect him to, but, at this rate . . .

Nice slump, still havent seen his full potential this year and also hoping Kadri can continue to wake up and be the difference maker he can be. Still saying Bernier should have started the last game. Glad he is in there tonight?save Reimer for the big games, lol.

I hope the Leafs can win this one. I figured that they would lose in Arizona, but I'm not sure how I feel about tonight.

Could be better secondary scoring this year.

So far, not really. The team is scoring at roughly the same rate they did last season (2.83 per game vs 2.71 per - and offence tends to up early in the season - relative to the rest of the league, they were 14th last season and they're 10th now - also, not a huge change). It's still the same group of 4 or 5 guys handling the goal scoring so far this season. There's a little more offence coming from the blue line compared to early last season, but, the offensive depth is still not really there up front.

jonasTSN1050: Looks like Stuart Percy may draw in tonight in favour of Morgan Rielly.

jonasTSN1050: Projected Lines: Winnik-Kadri-Kessel. van Riemsdyk-Bozak-Clarkson. Komarov-Holland-Santorelli. Panik-Carrick-Frattin.

jonasTSN1050: Projected Defence: Phaneuf-Franson. Percy-Polak. Gardiner-Robidas. Goalie: Bernier.

Not sure what Rielly did to get benched, unless he's hurt/sick.

Carlyle mentioned that a lot of the young guys will sit while they rotate capable dmen, it's apparently not a punishment.

That being said, I think it's a stupid move.

Good one Randy.
