Is there is any defenceman that gets beaten in more one on ones than Fraser?  That is just elementary defence. He is godawful.

But he's tough.  He has absolutely zero lateral mobility and gets beat wide nearly every time.  And it would be fine if he could recover from it but he can't because he gets beat so badly.

His positioning is pretty terrible and he does not read the play well, either. If he was good in those areas, he could compensate for his lack of speed, but, well, you know, that's what you get for dressing an AHL defender on a regular basis. But, you know, he fights, and people like that, even if it doesn't actually help you win hockey games.

I'll go with the "worse than Buffalo" scenario..... seriously

It's really hard to argue against it. I mean, I'm confident in saying they're a more talented team than Buffalo, but, they're certainly not playing better.

I can't wait to see the HBO series and what Randy does during intermissions during these games, very curious how he handles things, doesn't seem like the team wants to play for him. I miss the Quinn days.

Wonder how many months Nonis lets this go on?  It started last April, they recovered in the playoffs, but has pretty much continued nonstop in October, November and now midway through December.  You can probably count on 1 hand the number of games the Leafs outplayed a team clearly.

At least a shake-up trade. Something!

I said this a few weeks ago, but, I suppose it's worth repeating here. My guess is Carlyle is safe until after the Winter Classic - especially since the Leafs are still holding on to a playoff spot. If things haven't improved significantly by mid-January and Carlyle's still around . . . well, then there are larger organizational issues.

One little visit from Leiweke to Nonis ...

Please, no. They rarely work and often end up with desperate teams shipping out high quality/high value pieces for much less than they should. I'm quite happy with Nonis not making any significant personnel moves and, quite frankly, because of the team's cap situation, it's not likely that he's going to be able to, thankfully.

There's a new GM in Calgary with a proven track record of overpaying to make a splash. Just sayin'

He's probably talking to Nonis right this minute. He's probably pining to reacquire somebody he brought to the Leafs.

Although I do agree with Busta's reasoning as to why it probably won't happen and if it did, it wouldn't be a big piece.

Last I knew it was 1-0 .... Was hoping the leafs tied it when I it back ... Lol

Well seems staying around 7th or so in th east doesn't require a great record so let's stay afloat and get through these west powerhouses for December

The big worry is that he ships out Gardiner for a known "stay at home" defenseman. (ie, someone over 6.2 who cant skate or pass but is "tough in front of his net".)
