Game Notes

TOR
?Sparks (2-0-0, 3.49 GAA, .892 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
?The Leafs are of course coming off a back to back but were able to take the foot off the gas a little in the 2nd half of the game on Friday so hopefully nobody will be showing any signs of fatigue

BOS
?Halak (4-1-2, 1.96 GAA, .936 Sv%) will start for the Bruins
?Halak is off to an absolutely fantastic start to this season, or at least was until he let in 5 goals on 19 shots before being pulled midway through his last game on Thursday
?The Bruins announced on Friday that Rask has been granted a leave of absence due to a personal matter. They clarified that it's not related to his health and that he should only be away for a couple of days
?Boston's top line is performing just like everyone expected. In 15 games Bergeron has 21 points and Pastrnak and Marchand each have 17. That line has scored 25 of the teams 44 goals

Injuries

?Auston Matthews - Shoulder - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Tuukka Rask - Personal - Out indefinitely
?Urho Vaakanainen - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?Charlie McAvoy - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?Kevan Miller - Upper Body - Injured Reserve

Boston's first line gives me the creeps.  They've simply taken off from last year, and should the Leafs meet them again in the playoffs, hopefully by then we've a plan to contain them.

This article here attemps to explain by illustrating, that on 5v5 the Leafs one-up Boston in every category, as compared to last season.

Go get 'em, Leafs!

GO LEAFS GO!

Bruins have much better neutral zone defence than most teams we?ve played recently.

Chara having a terrible second shift though.

Good attack so far. I?d like to see more east-west puck movement though. Halak?s made a lot of saves but most of them were not difficult ones.
