Game Notes

TOR
?With Montreal coming up tomorrow night, it sounds like Bibeau will see the net for the 3rd time this season tonight
?Matthews: 14 goals, 21 points n his last 18 games
?Gardiner: 11 points in his last 12 games
?Brown: 8 points in his last 6 games
?Nylander: 11 points in his last 9 games

NJ
?Schneider (12-12-5, 2.74 GAA, .908 Sv%) will likely start for the Devils
?The LOWEST save percentage of Schneider's career came back in 2013-2014 when he put up .921 in his first season with the Devils
?The Devils lines are in a bit of a flux right now with a few players coming into tonight with questionable statuses. Andy Greene would of course but their biggest loss, he's apparently 50/50 to play
?New Jersey surprised their fans a bit by calling up Seth Helgeson to potentially play if Greene cannot. Helgeson is a 6'4", 215 lbs defenceman with limited mobility and offensive skill. Should look great against the high-flying Leafs

Injuries

?Nathan Horton - Back - Out indefinitely
?Joffrey Lupul - ?\_(ツ)_/? - Out indefinitely
?Stephane Robidas - Old - Out indefinitely
?Martin Marincin - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Ben Smith - Hand - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Andy Greene - Eye - Questionable Friday
?Nick Lappin - Flu - Questionable Friday
?Jacob Josefson - Flu - Questionable Friday
?John Moore - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?Vernon Fiddler - Lower Body - Injured Reserve

Gardiner right now is on pace for 13 goals, 44 points. That'd be the highest point total for a Leaf blueliner since Phaneuf in 2011-12 and the highest goal total since Kubina in 2009-2010

Also, Boston lost their 2nd game in a row last night. So a Leafs win tonight would put Toronto 3rd in the Atlantic and in a playoff spot.

Right? I really thought I was going to have to go back to McCabe but good ol' Pavel popped in 14 once upon a time.

And then we traded him for Garnet Exelby.

I think Quincey Lovejoy should be a hero of 19th-century adventure novels.

With Merrill Severson as his trusty Valet.

And Hegelson Santini as the exotic villain.

The Devil's Defence: A Quincey Lovejoy Adventure
:D

(featuring the first appearance of Quincey's sometime love interest, Pelly Bennett)

No, no. That's his butler, Woodsmith Pelly-Bennett

I suppose Quincey, as a true gentleman adventurer, WOULD have a valet and a butler... perhaps the love interest is the exotic and mysterious heiress (and secret diamond smuggler), Zacha Parenteau

If we even win a couple of the next handful of games were primed to get in one way or the other. Even a wildcard doesn't look that unlikely now
