Nice. That leafs fan...well, looks like he's had his fair share of wobbly pops.

Must be bring your kid to work day.

Fell asleep in the 1st period... nice to see they won.

Heard it wasn't too pretty but a win is a win.

sorry I missed the last two bear goal celebrations, had to go to bed, up early for work today. I wanna say I hate these west coast games, but so far Leafs are 2-0 so??.

Nonis is looking pretty darn smart with the goaltending he has put in place.

Great to see this team can put up 4 goals without Kessel factoring in any of them.

Saturday will be a good test.

I hope that the team that played ANA or PIT shows up or it may be a long night.

Man, Calgary had great energy, gotta give them that.  I know they hadn't played in days, but still, they didn't let up.

Happy for the points; hope the boys can get some rest before Saturday.  I'm trying to focus on Saturday, but it's hard not to look ahead to the back-to-back that finishes against Boston... that'll be something to see.

One thing I wanted to emntion and, not sure if anyone else saw it, but when McGratten had his gloves off in the penalty box after his meaningless fight with McLaren, I noticed he had his wedding ring on.  Aside from the fact that I'd be scared to lose it, I don't think he should be wearing jewelery while doing that line of work.  I'm sure that a rule exists that prohibits tape or, I don't know, razor blades, from being on a players hands.  But shouldn't they make sure this rule is extended to jewelery and - ahem - enforced?

"Hey, my wife gave me 4 wedding rings that happen to be welded together like brass knuckles, and it's discrimination against married people to make me take them off for a fight."

I'm guessing that sort of thing would be met with some pretty vocal opposition from the NHLPWA.

I'm sure it would.  But I guess if my face were getting bashed in by Brian McGrattan's knuckles, I'd prefer if it was only the bone doing the damage and not some alloy.

"Yeah, honey, there's this new rule that says I can't wear my wedding ring during games. Yeah, I know, and the strangest thing is that apparently it also applies to the bar in the lobby of the hotel..."

Have not seen anything posted about Colborne last night but thought he played pretty well. I think we gave up a good un there. Why couldnt it have been Orr that was released??  :'(

Because Carlyle seems to think Orr deserves  to be here, no idea why.

Colborne played a very good half a game but pretty much disappeared in the second and third.

I haven't seen Orr fight in quite a few games...maybe he's decided he can be like Domi and stop fighting to become a scorer.

I know that my gold wedding band had to be cut off at one point. No punching or contact involved at all but the moving of boxes and so forth unloading trucks caused the soft metal to flatten out. I can imagine 5 or 6 punches could easily do that as well.

My freaking softball league does not allow jewellery of any kind. So it doesn't seem that crazy to me that nhl players shouldn't wear jewellery. Not that I really care either way.
