If I understood Nonis correctly at his presser today, I think we will see a few more Marlies get a crack at the Big club in some of the remaining games. His comments seemed to indicate some new faces would get some looks. Not sure if that meant veterans would take turns sitting out games, but it wouldn't surprise me. Could be good for the tank.

Wow, that fourth line is probably not one of the better ones in the league.  Yikes!  Maybe Lindstrom makes it a little better?  I'm guessing the Leafs will give Erixon an opportunity to see what they've got?  He's just turned 24 and could probably use a little stability.

Alas, the tank will trundle into the Florida sun and lay an egg... and that egg will look like both a zero and a lottery ball.  8)

So will either Brewer or Lindstrom ever suit up at all for us?  Just wondering.  Seems like there's no point.

Here is a sad reflection on the state of things.

I am currently in Florida.
Maybe 20 minutes away from the arena.
Tickets are available.
Reasonable prices.

And yet...and yet...

I'm not sure I can bring myself to go to the game. I can't remember another time in my (long) life when I have felt so ambivalent about watching the Leafs.

I would go to watch some of Florida's young players.  They have some good ones.  I also wouldn't mind seeing Luongo play.  Failing that, you can always cheer on the Tank!

I know how you feel, this was me last week when the Leafs played the canes.  I live 15 min away from the arena and the only reason I went was because my wife's friends wanted to watch a hockey game with a Canadian.

Get to watch Jaromir Jagr too, guys only probably got like 6 or 7 years left in his career.

I didn't realize how disappointed I was by the deadline day until I saw the lineup above.

I mean, I like the two moves the team made, but it's not going to be easy watching some of these guys in the blue and white for another 19 games. Blargh.

0 points, please.

Probably. They'll cycle guys in and out of the lineup now, and they'll still need injury replacements and such.

Especially when we suddenly "discover" that Kadri, Rielly, Gardiner, Phaneuf, JVR, Kessel, and Bernier are "injured" for the rest of the regular season due to unspecified race to the bottom of the standings lower-body injuries.

Considering that it looks like Brewer is just about done he may be motivated to be in the lineup to get to 1000 games.

Also remember, teams are only allowed 4 call ups after the trade deadline. I'm guessing they aren't expecting the Marlies to make the playoffs either.

Didn't Carl Brewer wear #2?

Mostly.
http://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/TOR/numbers.html
Started with #18 for 3 years, 5 years or so with #2 and then came back for a final season at #28

Hey Riff Raff, go to the game, it is always a spectacle and bad hockey is like bad sex , better than no sex at all!
Plus you will get front row seats for about 40 buckskis

Decision made, cheap tickets purchased.

Next decision: do I wear my Leaf jersey and if I do, how pathetic do I look?
