Game Notes

TOR
?Campbell (23-8-4, 2.46 GAA, .920 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
?The Leafs had a few players absent from practice on Friday because of a non-COVID-19 illness, so the lines here are of course subject to change if that causes some players to be unable to play
?Nick Robertson was called up and Keefe confirmed that he will make his 21/22 season debut. He skated on the 4th line alongside Spezza and Simmonds at practice

DET
?Nedeljkovic (14-14-5, 3.01 GAA, .907 Sv%) will likely start for the Red Wings
?The Red Wings continue to have a medicore season with a points percentage of exactly 0.500, which puts them nowhere close to a playoff spot in the East but also nowhere close to a lottery selection

Injuries

?Jake Muzzin - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?John Tavares - Illness - Questionable
?Ilya Mikheyev - Illness - Questionable
?Pierre Engvall - Illness - Questionable
?Travis Dermott - Illness - Questionable

?Mitchel Stephens - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Jakub Vrana - Shoulder - Injured Reserve

Its' great that Robertson is getting a game.  He looked good in his AHL games so confidence should be high.

Purely on the side, any rumbling on what is happening with Ho-Sang?

Nothing on Ho-Sang. He's back with the Marlies and should play this weekend. I don't see any team trying to sign him just yet.
Side note...I thought Bertuzzi wasn't allowed in Canada because he's unvaxxed?

I don't think Ho-Sang is good enough to displace anyone on the Leafs roster.

It's an away game.

I?m a little concerned this will be viewed as another easy-team, defences down approach. Let?s hope not.

Go Leafs Go!

Ah, one of those rescheduled deals...thx.
As for Ho-Sang, he needs to be signed by the deadline to be eligible to play in the playoffs. A lot is going to depend on Muzz and how he progresses barring any other injuries. Rosters are expanded after the deadline so if the Leafs have room, you might see them sign him to a contract. I would rather him on the 2nd line then Kerfoot. He needs to play with skilled players that can keep up.

That explains why Nylander has looked slower and less assertive lately.

Holy moly.

I meant the back pain, not the thunder thighs

The coordination is ... impressive.

Willy is a multi-sport athlete: soccer, tennis, hockey, golf, table tennis

With a trunk like that he ought to be able to pump it 300+ with the driver.

OR BLOW IT THRU THE GOALER
