Leafs @ sens - Apr. 12th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

That makes me sad. Hopefully they'll be patient in making any decisions. I'm not yet comfortable with Bernier on his own.

I really hope, if they fire Carlyle that they wait until they hire a new coach before they make any drastic decisions.

Boo freakin' hoo. It's a business, dude.

I never watched the lazy bums play last night, but is it true that the fans littered the ice with jerseys after the game.

There was at least one jersey towards the end of the game, after the Leafs failed to score on two powerplays that overlapped for about 24 seconds in the 3rd.  I'm not sure about after the game, as they coverage cut immediately to the Habs game, but I guess it wouldn't surprise me if a few more were tossed.

I guess I understand why people throw 'em, but I don't think I can get behind it.  And I don't think it helps any.

What part of his quote makes you think he's crying?

Guess he's not a REAL MAN amirite?

Interesting, Mirtle just tweeted that since the Olympic break Reimer/Bernier played almost identical minutes and Reimer actually had a higher SV%.  Obviously Bernier was injured, but wouldn't have thought that without knowing the numbers.

The difference in goal support over that time is quite striking. In the 10 games Reimer started, the team scored a total of 16 goals. In the 11 that Bernier started, they scored 34.

Reimer .909 SV% > Bernier .904 SV% I believe.

Yeah, though, over that time period, not in a particularly meaningful way (2-3 goals difference between the two if shots were even - Reimer actually allowed 1 more goal because he faced more shots). The goals for in the span is really what represented the difference between the two goalies' respective records. For whatever reason, the team couldn't score for Reimer. I don't think that's indicative of anything in particular. Just thought it was interesting how different those numbers were.

I don't know, on first glance it just seemed to me like, "Too bad they ruined everything and brought in someone else who took my job."

I like Reimer, I can't stress that enough, but I really don't care if he's done with the Leafs.

Reimer didn't win a game he started since January 21.  Both wins he got were in relief of Bernier.

That's just unreal.  When we needed him, he and the team just didn't get it done.

I have no doubts he will be a great starter, but in this system, with this defense, and with this coach, he has no future here.

The interesting thing here is that the system ,coach, and a lot of the defense wont be here next season, so lets hope we still have Reimer.  My opinion is goaltending is the last thing we need to fix.  It would be a big set back to this team if they don't come right back with this pair.

He's not really like that:

"Wonderful, just wonderful.  I'm so blessed to be able to do what I do. And as hard as it gets at the end of the day you're playing hockey in the NHL. Obviously, I would've liked to be better and I have high expectations for myself and I expect to be the best and get results, but I love this game, I love what I do and to be able to do it for three and a half years now for the best organization in the world it's been an absolute pleasure."
