I'm pretty confident that if you sat your son down and explained the NHL cap to him he'd be able to understand the idea that a player isn't underperforming his deal just because he's not producing as well as a handful of guys who are wildly overperforming theirs.

Or if he doesn't just hit him with a shoe or something. I don't know how parenting works.
