Wonder if Stamkos will play? No better venue to tell the hockey world you are ready!

He left practice this morning and said something didn't feel right, so, my guess is he's extremely doubtful for tomorrow. I'd be very surprised to see him in action.

Yeah.  He's afraid we'd counter with Bolland.

The Lightning are a bit of a darkhorse team. Lots of young up-and-coming talent but not a roster that really jumps out at you in terms of name recognition.

Tyler Johnson has been fantastic in the absence of Stamkos, and Ben Bishop has been putting up Veniza numbers all season.  This is not going to be an easy game at all...

(although, Ben Bishop was playing well in Ottawa last year, wasn't he?  And he would nonetheless get shelled when facing the Leafs. :P)

How is this team ahead of the Leafs?

Seriously?

It has to be their defense....because it definitely ain't that forward group.

How about strength of schedule?  Does that still come into play in the new world?  (ie do they play Florida an unhealthy amount of times etc.)

5 times, just like we play them. same division. I just want the boys to play well this evening, we can still pass them at this moment. GLG

2nd best GA in the conference and 3rd best GF in the conference (tied with Leafs in GF, in 2 less games).

I am expecting a 4-1 victory, Lups, Kessel, JVR, and Bozak with goals. Fans will provide a good welcome home. GLG

A lot of their players are very under-rated and their coaching staff has done an excellent job of motivating the team. They're really getting their guys to play to their strengths and, as such, they're getting very good results out of them.

They're really going out and playing hard for all 60 minutes, displaying a high compete level in all three zones. They've got a great bunch of guys in the dressing room and leaving it all out there on the ice.

Sarcasm and cliches aside, they are, in fact, a team that plays hard for the full 60 minutes, unlike the Leafs most nights.

Is it just me, or does this game have disaster written all over it?

It's not just you.  Luckily I'll be at a bar tonight watching it with plenty of beer around.

I dont know. During the six game winning streak lots of people here were saying it is going to disaster, and it wasnt. The game against Dal there was only one person who say anything negative. "ZEE". As long as he doesnt say anything we will be fine. LOL GLG
