Lightning @ Leafs - Mar. 19th, 7:00pm - TSN, TSN 1050

Well just got home didn't bother to record the 1st period. I see judging by the comments the team is playing some tough defensive style playoff hockey. Management on this team is a joke. All of us have seen this for the last two seasons and in fact it's gotten worse yet not much has changed.

I know the medical staff are over cautious on these things, and rightly so, but the amount of time this is taking and the lack of movement from Ranger is very concerning.

I hope it's more a case of them just being over safe and he's not as bad as this looks.

I think they make sure he doesn't move as a precaution.

He was moving his legs before the medical staff got on the ice.

I meant more he wasn't moving much if at all while he was lying on the ice before the medics got to him.

The hit itself was pretty horrendous. Killorn really drove his arm into Ranger's head.

kinda heartening to see Tampa's trainer lending a hand there too. And even after being 'sent to their respective dressing rooms' most of the players, on both teams, are still there concerned for him.

I feel awful for Ranger's wife/family right now....

Didn't notice that, fair enough. Better sign  :)

That didn't work against the Capitals.

The "don't let Ovechkin do anything" part of it worked just fine. The other 3 guys on the ice were the failure in that one.

I would say the strategy as a whole didn't work. Carlton makes a good point though, I didn't notice that adjustment.

At some point players have to realize that cutting back against the grain is a common play and if you're following a guy in like that you don't have to unload.
