Official Ottawa Senators Thread

Ah right, I don't know what I was looking at.  I'm torn here.  Tampa is the tougher matchup so do we want Ottawa to suffer or Montreal.  I don't think I can stomach a Carey Price love affair on a deep playoff run.

Well, another Montreal-Ottawa matchup is now official, so, at least only one of them will make it past the 1st round, but, at the same time, one of them will make it past the 1st round.

No re-seeding after each round this year right?

New York Rangers vs. Pittsburgh
Washington vs. New York Islanders

The winner of those two games play each other

Montreal vs. Ottawa
Tampa vs. Detroit

The winner of those two series face each other.

Montreal wa probably the best matchup Ottawa could ask for. If there is a first round upset in the east, it will be that series.

I hope is a hotly contest series so that Sens fans will start to hate Habs fans more than they hate Leaf fans.

No disrespect to MTL or DET but I'll take that over the other side of the bracket.

Sens fans hate the Leaf media. Sens fans hate the Ole.

I don't agree...Sens fans hate anything to do with the Leafs.  I live in Ottawa.  I hear it every day.  I've been at parties and the minute people find out I am a Leaf fan I get comments like "Oh and I thought I liked you" and "Well I guess you know nothing about hockey".  The culture is that you have to hate the Leafs first and love the Sens second.  I don't mind the love the Sens part, but just keep the Leafs out of it.

Would Pittsburgh ousting the Rangers be considered an upset?  :o

You can make an argument for each team in each series. Things are that close.

An unbelievable run by Ottawa, a team I was cheering for...Unfortunately for them, Carey Price is not going out in the 1st round this year.  My biased opinion says the Habs are taking this series...Easily.

Price v Sens
12/13 Playoffs (4 games) .894 SV%
13/14 Season (4 games) .889 SV%
14/15 Season (2 games) .887 SV%
= Sens in 3 :p
Should be a great series again Manson, good-luck!

Ya you too...in all honesty it should be a great series.  If Pacioretty isn't 100%, Habs could have some real scoring trouble.

Is Hammond expected to be the starter?

1 - Price will win the Vezina.
2 - Price should win the Hart.
3 - Price scares the hell out of me! He can very well win the series on his own. The Habs are going to be the consensus pick in this series and rightly so - 2nd in the East with what 110 pts? Hammond starts yeah making Anderson the best back-up in the series ;]  I just want the Sens to make a series of it and not get gassed in 4 straight. Obviously I'm going to say Sens in 6.

I'm assuming the parade route will go down Rideau street this year?  Possible starting on Elgin?

Pittburgh isn't that good. It would be an upset for sure, but I don't see it happening.

I'm having Sens / Leafs game 7 levels of anxiety this morning.

Patrick Lalime was seen talking to the Hamburgler before the game.

I'll never forgive Lalime for that. I don't think I spoke for a good 3 days after that game and I still suffer some hockey related PTSD from it.

I still don't forgive Lalime for depriving me of a suspenseful Game 7.
