Ahahaha, Paulrus got a little jab in at the Leafs.

Coach Paul MacLean has elected to go with the same lineup. There was a suggestion he should perhaps play either defenceman Matt Carkner or centre Zenon Konopka because the Leafs are a tough opponent.

MacLean dismissed that suggestion.

?The games haven?t been as truculent,? said MacLean.

*shrugs* he's not exactly wrong.

You think that statement made any difference tonight?  I don't think his crack changed their gameplan or anything, but do you think it was in the back of Grabovski's mind when he went at Neil?  "I'll show you truculence, you Super Mario looking walrus jackass."

EDIT: And, surprise, surprise, the Sun took him somewhat out of context with that quote.  It wasn't so much a shot at the Leafs being wusses, but that the last few games between Ottawa and Toronto haven't really been that heated.

The biggest bummer about the loss is that Don Brennan was second guessing Paulrus's lineup before the game, saying Konopka and Carkner should have played.  Now the big douche is going to gloat something fierce about how right he was.

If there's one thing we can agree on, its that the Sun is barely a newspaper. Stop reading it.

They fixed the scoring on Colin Greening's goal against the Habs.  Erik Condra never touched the puck, so he was awarded the second assist.

He's now at 72 points in 72 games.  With 9 games left, if he can keep up the point per game pace, he'll be the highest scoring Swedish defenseman in history.  Nik who?

He only needs to go a point per game for 12 more seasons without missing a game.

Oh, of course, but he doesn't suck as much as Turris, Smith, O'Brien, Konopka and Foligno.

Taking him out quickly makes our depth at center look atrocious.

I have Martin Brodeur in my pool. He sits tonight and my H2H playoff opponent picks up Johan Hedberg and starts him. Boom, shutout.
