And he's an ex NHLer. You can't move guys without using your stick apparently.Bullfrog said:It's as if the commentators don't understand that physical contact is still allowed. (talking about "what's a defenseman going to do?")

That's exactly what I thought. "How am I supposed to move a guy if I can't do something that was always illegal to him?"Bullfrog said:It's as if the commentators don't understand that physical contact is still allowed. (talking about "what's a defenseman going to do?")
Like, I dunno, maybe they should just be better at hockey? LolOldTimeHockey said:Guilt Trip said:And he's an ex NHLer. I listened to NHL radio on Sirius yesterday and Shane O'Brien and Mike Rupp were on there talking about the cross checks in front of the net. They both felt that cross checking should still be allowed in front of the net and used the same defence of "what's a defensive player supposed to do". I don't remember ever being shown to cross check in front of the net. Block and force to the outside, sure...but never cross check. O'Brien went on to say "McDavid and Matthews are so good, now we have to give them free rein in front of the net???"....What!?!? That's the equivalent to being upset that you can't take take Lebron James out at the knees because he's so good at dunking.
