I'd expect something more like:

JVR-Holland-Marner
Greening-Matthews-Nylander
Timashov-Moore-Kapanen
Prust-Froese-Laich

Possibly one of Prust or Laich will be scratched for Hyman.

Andersen vs Anderson looks like your goaltending matchup in Saskatoon tonight.

They have decided to shift Nylander to center and play Marner on Matthews' RW for tonight's game.

@HennyTweets probable top 2 lines for Tor tonite could see Nylander between  JVR and Hyman and Matthews with Marner and Greening.

Exactly what I was hoping they'd do this preseason: run Nylander up the middle and give Marner a spin with Matthews.

It's been a while since I've been on the site.  Took a long break from hockey during the suck last year, although it turned into a complete success in the end.  Focused my sports time in tennis, but now things should be interesting.  PS ... Marner is the man.

I'm glad that they aren't locking Nylander in on the wing or anything like that. Even going back to when Babcock talked about how he and Matthews would rotate draws depending on which side it was on. An outcome like what San Jose does with Thornton and Pavelski would obviously be ideal.

We can sort of do it now for most of our line up with these pairings (that I prefer):
JvR - Kadri - Marner/Nylander
Hyman - Matthews - Nylander/Marner
Holland - Bozak/Nylander - Komarov

Komarov and Greening and Laich also play centre/take draws occasionally, so we have that additional flexibility.

Normally I'd prefer to see Matthews line up with Marner, but Marner has the least Centre experience of the bunch at the moment, so I didn't want to compound Matthews' growing pains there.

That's a much nicer line for Kadri than we've seen all pre-season, no? I'm all for it. And for Holland being a floating W/C in the top 9.

That was useless.

I can't believe Neil is still out there, getting his face punched in.

Tonight's defensive pairings are pretty much what I was hoping for this season:
Rielly - Zaitsev
Gardiner - Carrick
Nielsen - Corrado

Marincin instead of Nielsen (who is looking better than Hunwick and Polak right now).

PP1: Matthews, Nylander, Holland, Carrick, Zaitsev
PP2: Marner, Holland, Greening, JvR, Gardiner

Hyman gets tunnel vision when he comes out from behind the net with the puck, even with options like Nylander swooping in.
